Jimmy Carmody is a Chicago based artist and BFA student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He specializes in sculpting moldable thermoplastics and various clays, along with skills in painting and drawing.

In my artistic practice, I seek to create narratives by means of creating physical forms, conveying my thoughts and emotions into my pieces. I explore my experiences in stylized, toy-like sculptures and settings to access those feelings. I want to inspire a sense of child-like wonder and freedom in my audience, and the simplicity that comes with youth.
