Anabelle Lee Dehm, born and raised in Los Angeles, is currently based in Chicago. An interdisciplinary maker whom uses her body as an instrument through modes of performance, drawing, sculpture, and installation. Her multifaceted praxis challenges figurative distortion, humor, sexuality, play, and darkness. Her current central focus is to use the figure as a vehicle for creating narratives that have no clear beginning or end, investigating human, animal, and hybrid modes of existence through illustration, making large scale, monumental works.
